I am a mother, aspiring dancer, dreamer, cook, seeker, who has always had an urge to devour the world. This has led me on a path of exploration from India to Sri Lanka and Thailand, South America, Israel, Italy and Spain. My formal training is in the field of Psychology and I received two Masters degrees from Columbia University in Public Health and Clinical Social Work. I believe that we are what we eat and that the way we feel is deeply linked to what and how we eat.
With roots in México, Syria, Poland and the United States, I am the classic “yidishe mama” who feels deep joy and gratitude when I see my loved ones enjoying a meal. In service to the values of family, love, pleasure and wellbeing, I am tirelessly creating recipes and ideas for practicing health promotion and disease prevention through self-nourishment and the intimacy that comes from a shared meal.
